An MA Charity Management Lecturer at St Mary’s University, Twickenham has had a Charity handbook published.
Senior Lecturer Kate Kirkland is the co-author of the Charity Administration Handbook, which was officially launched on Monday 24th February at the BDO London offices.
The handbook, now in its fifth edition, serves to aid charity administrators in issues such as governing a charity and managing charity finance.
It has been updated so that it now includes new legislation such as the Charities Act 2011, the Finance Act 2013 and the Equalities Act 2010, as well as updated guidance from the Charity Commission and the Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator.
The book has been described as essential reference work for charity administrators.
There have been a number of books launched by academics at the University, the most recent from lecturers from the Centre for Irish Studies.
