St Mary’s University, Twickenham is to a host a networking event for the Heads of Richmond Sixth Form Colleges on 27th November, which will explore the future of UK Higher Education and St Mary’s role.
The event will take place from 3.30pm and be hosted by the University’s Pro Vice-Chancellor, Dr Claire Taylor. There will also be opportunities for the Richmond colleges’ subject heads to network with St Mary’s Programme Directors.
St Mary’s already has several projects with many local schools such as its e-mentoring programme, which was launched in 2013 to raise aspirations, awareness and attainment for school pupils considering higher education. Each year the University also supports career and higher education fairs in local schools.
St Mary’s Pro Vice-Chancellor Dr Claire Taylor commented, “This event will provide a great opportunity to consider and discuss the current and future challenges that universities face. In addition, we see this as a key event for continuing to develop our partnership work with schools and their sixth forms within the Borough.”
The event is free and open to the heads of sixth form colleges and subject departments in the Richmond borough. To RSVP please contact Alasdair Robertson, St Mary’s Senior Recruitment Officer, on alasdair.robertson@stmarys.ac.uk or 0208 240 4247.
