St Mary’s University, Twickenham alumna Katie Henry is set to direct her devised production of Alice’s House of Cards with strong Drama St Mary’s support, in the Imagine Festival at the South Bank Centre.
The sold out production, which is running from 14th to 22nd February 2015, will see current third year student Emily Sions assume the role of Assistant Stage manager, supporting St Mary’s alumna Sarah Perry as Stage Manager. Drama St Mary’s Costume Designer Tina Bicât is also part of the company and will be providing costume design for the production.
Since leaving St Mary’s, having studied both the Undergraduate Drama programme and an MA in Theatre Directing, Katie has returned to direct two productions at the University.
Mark Griffin, Academic Director for the Drama Programmes, said, "It's always fantastic to see our students picking up professional work even whilst they complete their studies. These kind of opportunities are invaluable to help students make key contacts and gain an initial foothold in the industry."
More information about Alice's House of Cards can be found on the Southbank Centre website. The production promises to be an immersive theatre experience as it celebrates 150 years of Alice in Wonderland.
