A current student from the MA Charity Management Programme at St Mary’s University, Twickenham Sorawit Lim-o-pas Pulsawasd presented a paper at the 9th Asia Pacific International Society for Third-Sector Research Conference in Japan.
Sorawit’s paper entitled Identification and removal of the collaboration barriers between Multinational Corporations and Local Non-Governmental Organisations in the Asia Pacific, explores the changing relationship and barriers between both national charities and multinational organisations with respect to civic development within the region. The paper develops a framework to remove the collaborative barriers between private and third sector organisations through the study of Thailand, one of the region’s fastest growing economies.
The Thai Government has already stated an interest in the research and Sorawit will be using the topic as the basis for his PhD Studies.
