St Mary’s University, Twickenham will welcome Rugby’s greatest prize, the Webb Ellis Cup, on the 10th September as part of the Rugby World Cup Trophy Tour.
The Trophy will visit St Mary’s to take part in a series of community events. Local primary school pupils will take part in sports sessions with students from the BA Physical and Sport Education programme. There will also be a wheelchair Rugby demonstration game from Canterbury Wheelchair Rugby Club and photo opportunities with the Trophy.

The arrival of the Webb Ellis Cup at St Mary’s provides an ideal opportunity to showcase Rugby and with the coaching of children and wheelchair Rugby that will be taking place, we hope people will be inspired about the sport and excited about the Tournament to come.”
Rugby is at the heart of the Trophy Tour, visiting more than 100 Rugby clubs, organisations and Rugby festivals, from grassroots to elite level. In addition to this, Host Cities, Match Venues, community and legacy programmes, sports events, stakeholder visits, Worldwide Partner activations and iconic landmarks are featuring as part of the Trophy Tour, with over 300 events programmed across the 100-day tour.
