The governing bodies of St Mary's University and Heythrop College met separately yesterday (Thursday 16th April 2015) and both agreed to move to the next stage of discussions on a formal partnership. Francis Campbell, Vice-Chancellor, St Mary’s University said,"The Board of Governors of St Mary’s University has given us the green light to enter final discussions with Heythrop College on the structure of the proposed partnership. Our guiding principle has always been that any partnership must be for the greater good of both institutions, financially sustainable and to the benefit of Catholic higher education in the UK. With this in mind, we look forward to further detailed talks in the weeks ahead with a final decision to be made during the summer term.”
