The BA Business Management Programme at St Mary’s University, Twickenham has become a Higher Education partner of the Chartered Management Institute (CMI).
To mark the launch of the venture, CMI Relationship Manager Brian Wilkinson visited the University to present the Business Management programme with a plaque at the start of February. Brian also delivered a session to the students outlining what the dual-accreditation will mean for them and the benefits of the inclusive membership such as a range of work placement opportunities, access to a wealth of excellent additional resources and a Level 5 Certificate in Leadership and Management, accredited by the CMI.
The Business Management programme at St Mary’s offers students a dynamic learning environment with a strong applied focus. The programme places an emphasis on students developing real world and transferable skills, and with strong links to industry there are countless opportunities for field trips, guest speaks, and business projects. Founded over 60 years ago, the CMI is the UK’s only chartered professional body dedicated to promoting standards in management and leadership excellence.
Head of the School of Management and Social Sciences Chris Hull said, “We are delighted to have become a Higher Education partner of the CMI. This partnership reflects our commitment to providing our Business Management students with a high quality academic and vocationally orientated programme. Their CMI membership and certificate will maximise their graduate employability and will clearly add value to their overall student experience.”
