St Mary's University, Twickenham Philosopher Dr Yasemin J Erden has been elected to the Royal Institute of Philosophy's (RIP) Council.
Dr Erden's longstanding championing of the RIP lecture series at St Mary's has promoted philosophy and public reasoning beyond the academy. This has fostered strong links with the local community and beyond.
The Institute’s aims are: ‘To organise and promote by teaching, discussion and research the advancement of Philosophical Studies’ and in particular ‘to provide for all classes and denominations, without any distinction whatsoever, opportunities and encouragement’.
