The resource specifically reviews UK public policy framework and how they influence social enterprises development and growth.
Publishers IGI Global note that the publication does not take a single perspective on public policy, but encourages readers to consider various policy agenda in order to reach a point of view and a guide to the development of public policy influence on UK small third sector social enterprises which could provide a basis for comparative studies.
Dr Chi Maher commented, “Social enterprises undoubtedly boost the economic landscape and benefit causes that are important to society in general.
“I hope that through examining the role of public policy within these small initiatives, we will provoke discussion around more effective methods for these two avenues to work together.”
Christopher Hull, Head of the School of Management and Social Sciences at St Marys added, “I am delighted to see the publication of a scholarly resource that will encourage greater discussion on the interchange between public policy and the establishment and development of social enterprises in different global economies and the significant benefit that social enterprises have on society.
“At St Mary’s we are not only interested on the core principles of business, but on the policy direction, ethical underpinning and social benefit of the business world. It is therefore very fitting that, Chi has collated such a work on the hugely important subject of social enterprise.”
