St Mary’s University, Twickenham, has entered into a formal partnership with Assumption University, Bangkok.
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) setting out areas of co-operation was signed by St Mary’s Pro-Vice Chancellor for Global Engagement Prof John Brewer and President Rev Dr Bro Bancha Saenghiran of Assumption University.
Areas for potential collaboration will initially focus on Assumptions MBA programme and St Mary’s MSc International Business Management course and undergraduate Study Abroad. During the visit to St Mary’s, representatives of Assumption held an initial meeting with members of the senior management team and the international department to discuss the areas of collaboration, build an initial friendship and signal the beginning of a long term mutually beneficial partnership.
The International Department were also delighted to host two groups of MBA students from Assumption University to begin the relationship between the institutions. The students held sessions on student life in the UK, a taster lecture in MSc International Business Management and a campus tour.
Speaking about the new partnership Pro Vice Chancellor for Global Engagement of St Mary’s University, Prof John Brewer, said, “A partnership with Assumption University signals St Mary’s first in Thailand and is an important step for the university in developing its global Catholic partnership network.
“We are delighted to begin working with Assumption University in various collaborative pathways and look forward to exchanging ideas, students and knowledge over the course of a long term relationship.”
