
St Mary’s University, Twickenham (SMU) has climbed three places to cement its recent growth in the Complete University Guide (CUG) UK league table, rising17 places in the past two editions to sit in the top 70.
CUG, which ranks universities across a range of themes including graduate outcomes and student satisfaction, also found that SMU was second amongst providers in the Cathedrals Group and ranked 12th nationally for Student Satisfaction
Speaking on the rankings, St Mary’s Vice-Chancellor Professor Anthony McClaran said, “I am pleased to see that St Mary’s continues its growth in the Complete University Guide. The University has seen impressive performance in all league tables in recent years, and this is a further endorsement of the work the University is doing to put the experience and outcomes of our students at the heart of all we do. I would like to thank staff for their continued hard work and dedication to our students.”
In the subject rankings, SMU rose in nine of the 13 areas it is ranked in. Amongst these, the University saw significant improvement in Communications and Media, Psychology, and Law, which rose 26, 25 and 22 places respectively.
Amongst the subject themes, SMU saw particularly impressive performance in Education, where the University is ranked fourth for graduate prospects and sixth for student satisfaction nationally, and Marketing and Communications and Theology and Religious Studies, where the University is ranked sixth for graduate prospects.
