Team St Mary’s Squad for Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games

Ten athletes, students and alumni from St Mary’s University, London have been selected to represent their nations in the 2026 Commonwealth Games.

Hosted in Glasgow from 23^rd July-2^nd August, the Games bring together sporting talent from across the Commonwealth to compete for their countries.

In the athletics, St Mary’s is represented by alumni and two-time Olympians Elliot Giles and Revee Walcot-Nolan who are both competing in the mile for England in the men’s and women’s races respectively.

Endurance Performance Centre (EPC) alumnus, former world champion and Olympian Jake Wightman is competing in the men’s 1500m for Scotland Alumna and Olympian Adelle Tracey is competing in the women’s 800m for Jamaica, whilst alumna Izzy Fry is competing in the women’s 10000m for England. EPC Associate Katie Snowden is also competing in the Mile for England.

St Mary’s is also being represented by three Talented Athlete Scholarship Scheme (TASS) athletes at the games for England. Daniel Wolff will be competing in the men’s T20 1500m, Scott Beatie is competing in the men’s 10000m, and Zac Seddon is competing in the men’s 3000m Steeplechase.

Away from athletics, Jessica Cole is competing for Australia in the women’s 200m Butterfly.

St Mary’s was also delighted to welcome back to campus Olympic Silver Medallist Jessica Hull as part of her preparations for the Games where she will be competing in the women’s mile and 5000m for Australia. The University regularly welcomes elite athletes to train in its facilities, with recent guests including Olympic Medallists Keely Hodgkinson, Femke Bol, and Georgia Hunter-Bell.
