Open Days at St Mary's
Why attend an Open Event?
An undergraduate or postgraduate open event is your chance to see what St Mary’s is really like. You’ll explore our campus, meet your future academics, and chat with current students about their experience. It's the best way to find out if St Mary’s feels right for you.
Open Days
Open Days are designed to give you a taste of life at St Mary’s while you’re deciding where to apply. There will be a welcome talk, followed by subject-specific talks and sessions led by our academic staff, helping you explore our courses in more detail. You can also meet current students, and take part in guided tours of the campus and accommodation, so you can picture where you’ll study and settle in.

Offer Holder Days
You’ll be invited to an Offer Holder Day if we make you an offer – these days are focused on you and your course. You’ll be guided through the day by a current student, with practical course sessions and opportunities to connect with your future classmates. You’ll also meet your academics and support team, who’ll be with you throughout your time at St Mary’s.

What our students have to say...
"I visited the University on its Open Day and had a fantastic experience with the Student Ambassadors who were helpful and very friendly. It's been a pleasure to speak to some of the lecturers who were available and helpful. [They have] great facilities and outdoor spaces. I really enjoyed my day, thank you!"

Explore our campus
Our London campus has plenty of green space, great graduate outcomes, and one-to-one support. Here you'll gain the skills to make a positive impact - for yourself and for others.
Want to see it for yourself? Book onto a Campus Tour or take a tour during one of our Open Events.
Explore the local area
If you have some free time after your visit, why not make the most out of your trip to this beautiful part of London. Twickenham may be most well-known for its association with rugby, but there is plenty more to see. There are also sites of cultural and historical interest, including Hampton Court Palace, the Thames riverside, and the nearby Royal Parks (Bushy and Richmond).
“Church Street, in the heart of Twickenham, is a great spot with cafés, restaurants and boutiques. One of my all-time favourite restaurants is Osteria Pulcinella, an Italian gem where I had the most delicious food during my own Open Day visit. I’ve made it a tradition to return for birthdays and special occasions!”
- Jolanta, BA (Hons) History and MA Public History graduate
A message from Anthony McClaran, Vice Chancellor
"Our academic staff have prepared informative and interactive talks to give you an insight into your chosen course, and our current students are here to share their experiences and answer any questions that you may have about our St Mary’s community. We’re dedicated to helping you shape a future that’s not only successful but deeply fulfilling. As you’ll hear at our Open Events, our alumni include Olympians, educators, artists and changemakers who are making a lasting impact across the world. Whatever your ambitions, we’ll support you every step of the way".
