Business research at St Mary's is very diverse and cross disciplinary.

Staff research spans most areas of business such as marketing, finance, strategy, human resources, entrepreneurship, business ethics and globalisation.

Research in Law concentrates on areas such as the business ethics, legal education and the historical impact of female lawyers. Staff have published high profile books and articles on these subjects.

There is an active and collaborative research culture across the University,  which results in innovative and cross-disciplinary research of an applied nature. Staff are very much involved in the wider research community through being on editorial boards of journals, reviewing articles, organising conferences and actively bidding for research grants.

There is also a vibrant doctoral programme that builds on the research expertise in the school.
