At St Mary’s, our School of Medicine in London has a bold mission: to train doctors who are not only clinically excellent, but deeply human-centred, ethically grounded, digitally fluent and socially purposeful.
Our MBBS programme integrates rigorous scientific and digital excellence with compassionate care, preparing doctors who can meet the healthcare needs of communities in an ever-evolving world.
The first intake is scheduled for September 2026, initially welcoming international students.
What makes us different
- Human-centred, not just patient-centred
From day one, students will experience care continuity – from home, primary care, hospital and back into the community – understanding the whole patient journey. - Science, digital & innovation
Our facilities and curriculum are designed to embrace modern medicine: simulation, AI/health tech learning, integrated skills suites, within our purpose-built Centenary Building for teaching, practice, and research. - Ethics, compassion & well-being
Our foundation is built on values – integrity, compassion, holistic care – not just technical ability. We embed student well-being proactively, recognising the challenges of medical training. - Diverse placements, flexible pathways
We work with a wide network of providers, not just one NHS trust, which gives flexibility: students will rotate across settings and providers, experiencing broad exposure and developing adaptability.

For partners, media & community
Opportunities to partner
- Partnership in placements – We welcome NHS trusts, community clinics, care providers, local health services and others to partner with us so students can learn in real, diverse settings.
- Research & innovation collaboration – Leverage expertise from St Mary’s research centres (e.g., bioethics, social & health sciences, applied performance, death & dying) to engage in joint projects.
- Media engagement – Share stories of transformation, innovation, student journeys, and community impact. We aim for transparent, authentic storytelling that reflects our emerging identity.
- Community outreach & advocacy – Help shape how our medical school is perceived, trusted, and integrated in local communities. Be voices for what humane, ethical, equitable medical training can and should be.
- Support & philanthropy – Contributions help us accelerate the build-out of infrastructure, ensure access for students from diverse backgrounds, and support research and innovation.
