On successful completion, you’ll achieve the Active IQ Level 2 Certificate in Gym Instructing (RQF), enabling you to begin working in a gym or fitness environment. You’ll develop knowledge of anatomy and physiology, exercise principles, professionalism, and health and safety, alongside the practical skills needed to support clients.

Delivered through blended learning, the course combines flexible online study with four on-campus practical workshop days. You’ll access e-learning resources in advance, allowing you to build your understanding before applying it in supervised, hands-on sessions. After your Level 2 gym instructor course

With your gym instructor qualification, you’ll be ready to take the first steps into the fitness industry. You’ll be able to join the Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity () as a Level 2 practitioner.
