Based at our Twickenham campus in the heart of London, this gym instructor course combines a Level 2 Certificate in Gym Instructing and a Level 3 Diploma in Personal Training. On successful completion, you’ll gain an Active IQ Level 3 Diploma in Gym Instructing and Personal Training (RQF), preparing you for roles across gym instructing and personal training.

You’ll develop the knowledge and practical skills to plan, prescribe, and deliver safe, effective exercise programmes for a range of clients. The course is delivered through blended learning, combining flexible online study with 10 days of face-to-face workshops focused on practical gym instructing and personal training. You’ll complete the first, before progressing to the , with the option to study each qualification independently if preferred.

When you have successfully completed all units set by the external body, , you will be awarded the Active IQ Level 3 Diploma in Gym Instructing and Personal Training (RQF).

CIMSPA endorses this Active IQ qualification as being fit-for-purpose and eligible to be considered for inclusion in the 2017 16-19 Performance Tables as a Substantial Vocational Qualification.

With your Active IQ Level 3 Diploma in Gym Instructing and Personal Training (RQF), you’ll be ready to take your next step into the fitness industry. You’ll have the knowledge and practical skills to plan, prescribe, and deliver safe, effective exercise programmes for a wide range of clients.

You may choose to work as a self-employed personal trainer, set up your own business, or pursue gym instructor roles within gyms and training centres.
