Welcome Week Timetable

Your first week on campus begins on Monday 15 September. Please note, some programmes do have earlier start dates, we have provided these below.
If you’re moving into Halls, arrival is on Sunday 14 September. Full details will be sent to you by email.
We’re excited to welcome you to our university community. Welcome Week is designed to help you settle in, meet others, and find your way around, and will include a mix of academic and social activities.
Your first week of welcome activities and events is usually the same week as your .
Make sure you go to a Student Essentials session which is happening every day from Monday to Friday, but otherwise see what takes your fancy. If you're joining our evening activities including the welcome party on 14 September, don't forget to buy your Freshers wrist bands.

Enjoy a free breakfast in the Commuter Lounge (Mon 15 & Tues 16 September from 8am)
Commuter Social: “Discover your Commuter Lounge” (Thurs 18 September from 1:00-2:30 pm)
Get to know our campus and teams
Daily campus tour from 12pm till 2pm, and daily afternoon tea and cake open to all from 12:30pm (1pm on Friday). Head to the bus, stationed on the piazza, and meet our supportive university teams each day.
Stay active
SIMMS Active sessions - make new friends, join friendly matches of football, basketball, badminton, or netball.
Be creative
Relax, bring your friends or make new ones with our ‘Sip & Paint’ pottery session on Tues 16 September or take a moment to pause and get creative with our mindful Pottery workshop on Fri 19 September.
Meet our Chaplaincy Team, and get creative with postcard arts & crafts on Mon 15 & Tues 16 September.
Join our social events
Karaoke, Neon Rave, Games Night, Pub Quiz, and Freshers Fayre - take your pick or join as many as you want.
