Develop essential employability skills

This course promotes integrity, ethical decision-making, and social responsibility. You will develop your communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, which are essential for success in the accounting and finance profession.

Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to work on consultancy projects and independent research, enabling you to apply your knowledge in real-world business contexts.

The optional placement year gives you the opportunity to spend 9–12 months working full-time in an accounting, finance, or related business role between your second and final year. This immersive experience allows you to apply your academic learning in a real professional context, gain industry experience, and build a network of contacts.

You’ll develop professional resilience, commercial awareness, and a deeper understanding of workplace expectations. The placement year enhances employability and can provide a strong advantage when entering graduate-level employment in the financial and business sectors.
