Last weekend, St Mary’s University College, Twickenham held a successful visit day for prospective students who have been made an offer to commence study in September 2013.
On Saturday 16th March, more than a thousand people made their way to the University College’s Strawberry Hill campus to attend the first undergraduate visit day. They were given the opportunity to speak to lecturers, current students and professional staff about what to expect from St Mary’s and their academic career.
They were also offered introductory talks, programme tours, drop-in sessions, taster lectures, accommodation and campus tours. A visit day village was also set up to allow prospective students and their families the chance to talk to University College representatives, including members of Student Services, Careers, the International Office and Sport St Mary’s.
Prospective students enjoyed their time on the campus and getting a taste of St Mary’s unique atmosphere, while staff and current students were keen to talk about the quality of teaching at the University College, top class facilities, and wide range of social activities.
There is an additional visit day on Wednesday 24th April, which will also offer a similar programme of events in the afternoon. For more information, please email recruit@stmarys.ac.uk.
