St Mary’s University College, Twickenham celebrated the 15th anniversary of its Study Abroad programme with an event for current students, alumni who have recently returned from a Study Abroad session and participating staff.
The celebratory event was organised by St Mary’s International Office and Centre for Workplace Learning. It gave guests the opportunity to socialise, network and to share their experiences. Student and staff presenters highlighted the positive effects of the Study Abroad experience including raising aspirations, developing cross-cultural understanding and contributing to employability.
During the evening there was also an award presentation for students who successfully completed the Study Abroad programme last year.
Mariann Baker, Head of International, commented: “The event was a great success and inspired many of our current students to take up the Study Abroad opportunity, as well as giving students the opportunity to show case their experiences and learning”.
