Yesterday, Wednesday 24th April, St Mary’s University College, Twickenham held a visit day for prospective students who have been made an offer to commence study in September 2013.
More than 350 students attended the visit day at the University College’s Strawberry Hill campus, which was designed to offer those who have been offered a place to study with an opportunity to speak to lecturers, current students and professional staff about what to expect from St Mary’s and their overall academic experience.
There were also introductory talks about the University College, drop-in subject sessions, taster lectures, and accommodation and campus tours. A Visit Day Village was also set up to allow prospective students and their families the chance to talk to staff, including members of Student Services, Careers, the International Office and Sport St Mary’s.
St Mary’s Marketing Manager for UK Recruitment Teresa Kelly said, “Our visit days provide an opportunity for those students who have already been offered a place to study at St Mary’s, the chance to really familiarise themselves with the campus and their subject before they arrive. They are able to meet their lecturers, go on campus tours and talk to fellow students, making the move in September as easy as possible.”
Open days for anyone interested in studying at St Mary’s in 2014 begin in June, for more information and to register, please visit the website.
