With thousands of students anxiously awaiting their A-Level results next week, those who do not achieve their expected grades are being encouraged to keep their sights set on university by securing a place through Clearing.
St Mary’s University, Twickenham has a limited number of places through Clearing, offering students the opportunity to find the right degree for them, whatever the outcome on Thursday.
St Mary’s Registrar Tam Milner said, “When students don’t achieve the grades they had hoped for they often feel like they have wasted the last year and missed out on going to university, but this isn’t the case at all. We are offering places on various subjects through Clearing, all of which could offer students the perfect opportunity to continue of their road to higher education this September.”
Tam added, “We only have a limited number of places available to offer through Clearing this year and will be filled quickly, so students should call us as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.”
St Mary’s Clearing hotline (020 8240 4225) will be open from 7am on Thursday 14thAugust. Students are encouraged to call or visit campus for an informal chat with trained advisors who will be able to guide them through the Clearing process and find the right course for them.
The Universities and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS) and the Daily Telegraph will publish lists of course vacancies on Thursday 14th August. Any students that have applied for a university place through UCAS will be able to check the status of their application on the Track page.
