Business Management and Marketing degree

Study an MSc Digital Marketing that balances strategic depth with real flexibility

The MSc Digital Marketing Strategy at St Mary's University, London prepares you to think strategically, use AI and analytics confidently, and tell stories that connect – a rare balance of strategic, creative and analytical skills in one master's degree.

Instead of taking formal exams, you'll graduate with a career-ready portfolio, learning directly from industry voices through guest lectures, live briefs and practical workshops. Open to graduates from any discipline, the course combines CIM-aligned curriculum content with a wide choice of optional modules and hands-on use of industry tools.

Graduate fluent in AI, analytics and automation

Generative AI, analytics and automation are embedded throughout the programme, so you'll learn to use these tools critically, responsibly and strategically. You'll gain hands-on experience with industry-standard tools and platforms, with ethics, sustainability and responsible marketing built into every module.

No exams – build a professional portfolio instead

You'll be assessed through brand audits, consultancy reports, campaign portfolios and a live crisis simulation – the real work of a digital marketing team. You'll graduate from this Master's in Digital Marketing with tangible evidence of your skills to show employers.

Designed around professional standards

The curriculum is pre-aligned to Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) content, with CIM accreditation to be sought following validation. You'll develop recognised, industry-relevant expertise that reflects what employers and professional bodies expect from today's marketers.

Shape your master's around your career ambitions

Choose from a wide range of optional modules – including digital analytics, social media, international marketing, ethical leadership and entrepreneurship – to develop expertise that matches your professional goals. You'll then apply your learning in a substantial independent applied project, and an optional industry placement module offers the opportunity to gain real work experience.
