Biography
As Head of Medical Student Experience, I provide strategic direction and leadership of the internal operational delivery of the MBBS programme and ensure the smooth running of all internal processes related to the School of Medicine. I have line management responsibility for an administrative team supporting student education and student welfare and work closely with central university services to ensure we provide an excellent student experience for our medical students.
Background
I joined the School of Medicine at St Mary’s University in September 2025. Prior to joining SMU, I worked in higher education at institutions in both the private and public sectors, most recently in the medical school at City St George’s, University of London. I have worked in a variety of roles across HE over the past 25 years, including education management, quality assurance, international admissions, student academic and pastoral support and curriculum and assessment. I am passionate about providing an inclusive, innovative and supportive environment for the St Mary’s doctors of the future.
Hobbie and interests
I love sport in most forms and am a season ticket holder at AFC Wimbledon. I am also Chair of Governors at a local primary school.
