Responsible for widening participation, outreach and open events; our Widening Participation and Student Recruitment teams engage with learners through several methods including, access initiatives, running programmes for non-traditional learners, organising open days and taster days and delivering IAG talks.
Our Widening Participation and Outreach team leads on delivering the University’s Access Agreement in order to break down any barriers that might prevent a learner progressing to university.
We are delighted to offer activities for learners in Y5-Y13, as well as to parents, mature learners and more vulnerable groups of people. We also lead on the student ambassador scheme for the University.
Our Student Recruitment Team is responsible for organising and hosting all our on campus undergraduate open day and applicant day and postgraduate evening events for prospective students.
We also manage and attend UCAS and HE exhibitions and career fairs in schools and colleges throughout the n the UK and selected countries within the EU.
As part of our event participation we can deliver a variety of progression and subject specific talks and workshops.
