We work closely with our current undergraduate and postgraduate students who come from a variety of backgrounds and are enthusiastic about engaging with participants and visitors to share their University experiences. They are strong advocates for Student Recruitment and Widening Participation.
Student Ambassdor
A Student Ambassador is a positive role model for the University who is enthusiastic about university life and happy to speak about their experiences.
The Ambassador role involves supporting departments at St Mary’s University with on campus and off campus events including campus tours and going out to Higher Education Fairs and Careers Fairs.
There are also digital work opportunities such as Unibuddy - an online platform for Student Ambassadors to communicate with prospective students.
Widening Participation (WP) Student Ambassador
A Widening Participation (WP) Student Ambassador works with a wide variety of students aged 11-18+ to raise awareness of Higher Education and to enable students to make informed decisions about their future.
A WP Ambassador needs to be passionate about their Course subject, Higher education and raising the aspirations and attainment of young people.
