Biography

Dan teaches across the Psychology of Sport and Performance, Sport and Exercise Science, and Strength and Conditioning Science Undergraduate courses as well as the Applied Sport Psychology Postgraduate course.

Dan is a Lecturer in Sport & Exercise Psychology at St Mary’s University. He completed his Professional Doctorate in Sport and Exercise Psychology at the University of Portsmouth in 2024. Dan's research focuses on practitioner development, self-care, and care within sport systems.

Dan is an HCPC-registered Sport and Exercise Psychologist. In addition to his teaching and research activities, Dan maintains an active practice, working with organisations, teams and individuals. Dan is also a trustee for Brave Mind, a mental health charity in sport.
