Biography
Dr Daragh Minogue is the founder and course lead for our master’s programmes in Sports Journalism; the first sports course to be professionally accredited by the National Council for the Training of Journalists in 2010.
He has established St Mary’s as one of the leading training centres for sports journalism in Europe, which attracts applicants from all over the world.
Dr Minogue is co-author of Sports Journalism: The State of Play (2019) and continues to pioneer developments in sports journalism education, collaborating with newsrooms, journalists, and sports clubs to advance the cause of an ethical sports media.
