Fiona has been a teacher and lecturer for over 20 years working in a variety of settings including secondary schools, further education, and adult education. A substantial part of Fiona’s teaching career focused on managing alternative educational provisions for young people with emotional and behavioural issues, supporting them with their progression on to further education or employment.

This passion for ensuring that excellent education is accessible for all has led to Fiona undertaking a PhD exploring the impact of emotions on learner identity.
