Biography
Faye is in Primary Education Lecturer with a focus on early years. She is part of the early years team and delivers modules across the work-based route and the Undergraduate BA education programmes. Faye has a B.A. (Hons) in Design, and PGCE with a specialism in early years, and KS1 from Roehampton University.
Faye has taught in primary schools across Lewisham for twelve years where she specialised in teaching Early Years in Reception and Nursery. Faye has been a subject leader and has led Phonics and Early reading, Outdoor Learning, and art and DT. Her role as a mentor for ECT’s and student teachers inspired her to become a lecturer. She has been a lecturer at St Marys University since August 2022.
Faye is passionate about a holistic and child-centred approach to early education. She is an advocate of a diverse, inclusive, and equitable practice in which all children have equality of opportunity and can reach their full potential.
