St Marys Women’s Football and Futsal is a fun, social, and competitive club. We are made up of three teams:
- our first team is competing in the South Eastern Tier 1 league.
- our second team is competing in the South Eastern Tier 3 league.
- our futsal team is currently competing in the BUCS Premier League.
Our club also has many social members who support us, so even if you don’t play and just want to support, you can. Everyone is welcome.
Many current and previous members have welcomed opportunities to play for a variety of teams, including QPR, Fulham, and MK Dons. In addition to this, we have had three players earn places on the Women's Leadership Programme, which has supported their development and opened many opportunities beyond. As well as these opportunities, past members have also been selected to represent England Universities, a highly credited chance to represent England at University games.
As a club, we aim to create an inclusive, safe, and enjoyable environment for all members, whether they are starting their football journey, socially supporting the teams, or playing to a high level. Through our games, social Wednesday's and fundraising activities, there's so much to love and do as a club, bringing everyone together to achieve specific aims and have fun!
Last year, we saw great success with our first team winning the league to be promoted and our futsal team gaining the opportunity to play the England Women’s Deaf Futsal team after finishing 3rd in the Premier Division. This coming year, we look forward to what's ahead and can't wait to expand our club even further with more members and more success!
For those who are interested in coaching opportunities, we are also incredibly fortunate to have an FA Women’s High Performance Football Centre based at the University.
