David served in the Royal Engineers for 28 years, ending his service in 2016 as a Full Colonel. Since then, he has held a number of roles in commercial and educational sectors.
David is a Chartered Engineer and Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers and currently works as an independent consultant, specialising in operational improvement and strategic thinking, and as an executive coach and mentor.
David and his wife, Emma who is a secondary teacher and head of year, have three adult children and 2 dogs. In his spare time, David designs gardens.
