Jeffrey is a partner in the London office of the international law firm Steptoe and Johnson. His law practice focuses on international crisis management, government investigations and compliance.
A dual national of the US and the UK, Jeff was raised in the London area before attending Fairfield Jesuit Preparatory School in the US, and graduated magna cum laude from Georgetown University in Washington, DC with a BA in Philosophy and English. He earned his Juris Doctor at the University of Virginia School of Law in the US.
Prior to law school, Jeff spent several years as a US Naval Intelligence officer on field tours and at the Pentagon, eventually retiring with the rank of Commander. He was decorated for his role in operations in the Middle East and Iraq.
After beginning his legal career in the Washington DC area, Jeff has held senior positions as compliance and investigations counsel at major corporations headquartered in the United States, Europe, and Australia, in the oil and gas, mining and defence industries.
