About the Festival
The Academic Professional Development team would like to extend a warm welcome to the Festival of Learning and Teaching, St Mary’s flagship annual conference celebrating excellence across the university.
This event provides an opportunity for colleagues to come together and celebrate practice across the university and share innovations in learning and teaching. The festival gives colleagues the opportunity to come together to:
- Shape policy and innovation, collaborating with the Academic Professional Development team to influence teaching practice across the University.
- Join a community of educators, connecting with colleagues who care deeply about for teaching and learning.
- Engage with presentations, resources, and discussion forums related to the event.
- Enhance the student experience through best practice.
- Learn how the Academic Professional Development team can advance and support your academic career at every stage.
Each year we invite submissions on a range of themes, encouraging dialogue on topics that promote excellence in teaching and learning and enhancing the student experience. The festival takes place on campus in person, usually in the Waldegrave suite.
