Biography

Becky is a qualified Physical Education teacher with over 10 years’ experience in teaching and coaching in the UK, Spain, and Australia.

She has completed an MSc Psychology of Sport and Exercise at Leeds Beckett University, where she gained practical experience in the football industry, this enhanced her understanding of ethical and evidence-informed practice.

She has worked for numerous years within the women's/girls’ football setting. Becky founded a junior girl’s football squad in Wakefield, where she was the Head Coach, alongside volunteering at player development centres to enhance her coaching practice. She currently coaches at AFC Wimbledon Foundation Girls Player Development Centre.

She is a Lecturer in Football Development and Coaching and is the Lead for Women's Football on the Chelsea Programme.


Research

Research profile

Becky has been part of the analysis team for a FA commissioned project which looked at effective coaching in the female game, and the future of the women’s and girls’ game.
