Biography
Eleanor Stewart joined St Mary's University in 2012 as a programme Director for School Direct ITT. Previously she had taught at Primary Schools in the Richmond area, after moving from a career in banking communications in the City. She completed her MA in Pedagogy at St Mary's in 2015.
Eleanor is currently Head of Department ITT Partnerships for Primary and Secondary ITT provision, overseeing 1000+ school placements each year. She is committed to ensuring a high-quality student experience and educating inspiring and resilient teachers of the future.
She runs the Assessment Only Route QTS provision, and works with Alliance Partners to develop School Direct PGCE and Salaried QTS. She is active in local and National ITT advisory groups, and is Vice-chair of the Governors in a large local Secondary school.

- Improving mentoring skills in the classroom
- Developing strong supportive links with our Partnership Schools
- Improving on-line learning and monitoring on School Placements
- Developing our collaborations with other ITT providers and Universities, particularly Glyndwr University in Wrexham
