Biography
Gemma is the course lead for the Education Foundation Year. She is a lecturer in Professional Studies and teaches on the BA Primary Education with QTS and Education Foundation Year courses. Gemma has a BA (Hons) in Criminology and Sociology, PGCE in Primary Education and a MA in International Education. She is a fellow of the HEA.
Gemma joined St Mary's University after teaching internationally and in England. Her roles included head of early years and assessment and feedback lead. She is currently chair of the curriculum and learning committee as a local school governor.
Gemma is passionate about an inclusive and nurturing learning environment for all children, with particular interest in early years and international education. She is a mental health first aider for St Mary's University staff.
