Biography
Indranil Chakravorty is responsible for clinical placements and learning, particularly for Years 3–5.
He is a Consultant Physician at St George’s University Hospital in London, with specialist interests in Acute and Respiratory Medicine. He trained in Medicine at the University of Calcutta (now Kolkata), India, and moved to the UK in 1994.
His postgraduate training in the UK took place across Yorkshire, the West Midlands, and London. He completed a PhD in Health Services Research at Warwick Business School in 2006.
His research interests include asthma, COPD, sleep disorders, differential attainment in healthcare, workforce wellbeing, and innovation in medical education.
He co-chairs the Institute for Health Research for the British Association of Physicians of Indian Origin and serves as Chief Editor of the medical journals The Physician and Sushruta.
