About Research
Biography
James Fleming began teaching/lecturing since graduating from The University of Southampton in Sport Science in 2008. James’ passion lies in sports performance and nutrition. Upon attaining aN MSc in Applied Sports Nutrition at St Marys University, he began lecturing on the Nutrition and Health and Exercise Science Programmes. James is investigating nutritional and recovery strategies in elite youth tennis players as part of his PhD studies, an area of sports nutrition that is under-researched to date, and is excited about providing evidence-based support to tennis athletes and practitioners.
James is a Level 3 Anthropometrist (ISAK) and a registered Performance Nutritionist with the Sport and Exercise Nutrition Register (SENr; Practitioner Registration). James works as a Performance Nutritionist for the RFU (specifically the England Women’s Under 20’s Rugby programme) and continues to build on his performance nutrition portfolio.
