Biography

Jourdain holds a BSc (Hons) in Sports Science and Coaching and a MSc (Hons) in Strength and Conditioning from the University of Bedfordshire.

Jourdain is now reading towards a PhD in Blood Flow Restriction Training at St. Mary’s University. He also works as a Graduate Teaching Assistant in Strength and Conditioning Science. Jourdain has five years of Strength and Conditioning experience working with a wide variety of sports and ability levels.

Research profile

PhD Title: The effects of blood flow restriction resistance training on individuals with patellofemoral pain: An investigation of pain, function and biomechanics.

Through this, we hope to gain insight into the acute and longitudinal effects of blood flow restriction training, and how this can impact one of the most common musculoskeletal injuries seen within clinics.

His research interests include: Patellofemoral pain syndrome, blood flow restriction training and strength and conditioning
