Biography
Mitali is a Lecturer in Medical Education within the School of Medicine. She teaches across several areas of the undergraduate medical curriculum and is actively involved in curriculum development. Alongside her academic role, she continues to practise clinically as a GP Specialty Registrar.
Mitali graduated from the University of Birmingham, where she also completed an intercalated Bachelor of Medical Science in International Health. She gained clinical experience as a resident doctor in South West London. She subsequently worked as a Medical Officer in Urgent Care in Auckland, New Zealand, where she developed a particular interest in community medicine, diagnostic reasoning, and patient-centred care. She is currently training as a General Practitioner in London.
Alongside her clinical work, Mitali has been consistently involved in undergraduate medical education. During Foundation Training, she designed and led an undergraduate teaching programme and was nominated for Trust awards in Leadership, Teaching, and Clinical Excellence. Her interests span medical education, public health, women's health, and global health.
Outside work, Mitali enjoys swimming, hiking and reading. She particularly enjoys exploring new places and learning about different cultures and healthcare systems around the world. Having lived and worked internationally, she values the perspectives that global experiences bring to both medicine and education.

Mitali's areas of interest include medical education, public health, global health, primary care and women's health. She has contributed to research across a range of topics including endocrine health, infectious diseases, public health, and healthcare service delivery.
