Biography
Rupal manages the development, content and delivery of teaching and assessment of PVB through Phase 1 and 2 of the MBBS programme. She works with relevant Leads where student disciplinary issues arise or students' fitness to practice is called into question. She leads on Faculty Development.
Rupal is a GP partner and trainer at the Bridge Lane Group Practice in Battersea. She worked as an Associate Dean with the London Professional Development Team (NHSE) from 2016 until2026. Her PhD is entitled 'Looking Through the Hermeneutic Window: Meaning Making in General Practice'. She has published widely in the field of medical education and professionalism, including her two books, 'Fighting for the Soul of General Practice the algorithm will see you now' (Shah and Foell) and 'Finding Meaning in Healthcare -Looking Through the Hermeneutic Window'(ed Shah and Clarke).
Rupal lives in London with her husband and two daughters. She loves travelling, hiking and is an avid reader. She enjoys writing and has contributed to two volumes of memoirs, Fleeting Encounters and Our Mothers Ourselves.
