Senior Lecturer in Primary Education (RE)
Sarah is a lecturer in Primary Religious Education at St. Mary’s University. Prior to her role at St. Mary’s, she worked as a Primary School teacher for twenty-four years in both Catholic Schools and Community Schools. She co-ordinated RE, Maths, PE and all key stages. Sarah was a Deputy Head Teacher for eight years in Islington during which time she mentored NQTS and managed professional development of both teachers and teaching assistants. Sarah is a link tutor for St. Mary’s University and she has mentored students from all routes into teaching including Schools Direct where she has been involved from the start of the programme.
Sarah has a particular interest in educating children (and parents) about each other’s faiths, thus breaking down stereotypes and building up community cohesion.
