Conduct, complaints and appeals

Registry provides expertise in dealing with a number of areas of student casework, including student complaints, student conduct and academic appeals.

This page provides an overview of our main areas of responsibility, as well as links to further information about each area and sources of support for students. For members of staff, we are also able to provide training, advice and guidance in any of these areas.

Complaints

The University has a student complaints procedure to help us address issues when a student feels that a service we provide has fallen below the standard they expect.

Contact: complaints@stmarys.ac.uk

Non-academic misconduct

The University has a student disciplinary procedure, which deals with cases of non-academic misconduct.

Academic misconduct

Our team is also responsible for investigating cases of academic misconduct, as covered under the academic regulations.

Contact: academic.misconduct@stmarys.ac.uk

Academic appeals

Students who wish to request a review of a decision of a Board of Examiners with regards to progress, assessment and awards or, for a postgraduate research student, the outcome of a formal progress should consult the academic appeals procedure.

Contact: academicappeals@stmarys.ac.uk
