St Mary’s University is currently undertaking a trial of ‘Hyflex’ lecture delivery.
The word HyFlex comes from a combination of Hybrid and Flexible. It offers a mode of live teaching where students can take part either from inside the room, or out-of-the-room via Zoom. With improved audio and visual technology the emphasis is improving the interaction between both groups of learners, most noticeably achieved when in-room students are also online.
