Sabjola Bregu addresses high-profile event co-hosted by the Holy See Mission to the United Nations and Arise Foundation

On Tuesday 12th March 2019, Sabjola Bregu addressed a range of representatives from governments, international organisations and NGOs at a high-profile event co-hosted by the Holy See Mission to the United Nations and Arise Foundation. 

Sabjola is an Albanian psychologist employed as a research practitioner by St Mary's University and is currently working with London-based charity Women at the Well and with the Medaille Trust to support Albanian women affected by trafficking.

She will also be conducting research on identifying effective pathways to recovery for this group.

Sabjola's address stressed the importance of mental health support in tackling trafficking and exploitation and urged representatives to develop their awareness and understanding of the role of heath care professionals in reducing the vulnerability of trafficked victims.
