Our psychology provision is designed to help you better understand the mental component of your athletic performance. We know there can be reticence towards talking about psychology, mindset and mental wellbeing. We work to create a safe, welcoming environment and focus on how you can use psychological tools to improve your performance, both in training and on competition day.

Emily Martin

I’m an experienced HPCP registered sports psychologist and former Senior Lecturer in Sports Psychology at St Mary’s University. Through my career, I’ve been able to work with a diverse cohort of athletes across different sports and levels of competition. As such, I am confident I can draw on both my clinical and practical experience to help you understand how we can better train you and equip you with psychological tools to improve this often under-addressed area of elite sport performance.
