Our friendly team support students and graduates to continually develop their employability skills and experience throughout their time at St Mary’s and beyond, so they are able to succeed in their career goals. 

The Employability Services team includes: 

  • Our team of career consultants who provide free, confidential and impartial advice and guidance at every stage of the student journey, from having no idea about what to do after university to help in applying for part time jobs, internships, setting up your own business and graduate positions. Book an appointment with a member of our team.
  • Our Centre for Workplace Learning lecturers, who deliver a range of academic work placement modules designed to enhance employability skills, allowing students to gain practical work experience whilst at university and preparing students for successful careers post-graduation.
  • Our placement team, who support students who undertake a work placement as part of their degree. The placement team work closely with placement providers and students to ensure a successful placement and outcome  
  • Our employer engagement lead, who works closely with organisations to host student internships and attend our on campus careers fairs
  • Our student engagement leads support students with our online information, bespoke support and in person services.
