The Warwick Summer School in collaboration with St Mary’s is delivering its next Summer School in 2018 from 15th July – 4th August following the success of last year’s programme. 150 students from 30 different countries participated in the first London based Warwick Summer School. The Summer School was a huge success with 100% of students saying they would recommend the programme!
This year’s Summer School offers a wider range of courses, from Creative Writing to Economics, and also a ‘Principles of Economics’ course for those without any economics knowledge. Lecturers from St Mary’s will also be offering courses on ‘Public Policy and Economics’, ‘Communications and Marketing’ as well as a joint course with Warwick ‘Navigating Religion, Identity and Conflict’. The Summer School will also include and deliver new contemporary cutting edge courses in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science. As well as high calibre teaching and time for self-study, there is also an important social aspect to the Summer School which includes cultural excursions to London, Oxford and Brighton where students can explore and experience British culture. Many other events and activities take place on our beautiful campus such as a curry, karaoke and quiz night, cinema style film, farewell and certificate presentation reception, sports activities and much more. Students also have the opportunity to engage and debate with with many influential guest speakers, which in past years has included Nobel laureates, MPs and business leaders.
